The Diocese of Manchester approached us with the need for a modern, accessible website that could serve a wide and diverse audience — from clergy and church leaders to schools, congregations, and the wider community. Their old site had become difficult to navigate and maintain, making it harder to communicate the Diocese’s vision and provide essential resources.

We worked closely with their team to rethink the structure from the ground up. The new site is built around clear, user-focused navigation, making it simple to find everything from parish information and safeguarding resources to events, diocesan news, and cathedral life. Accessibility was a priority, so the design uses a clean layout, clear typography, and responsive styling across all devices.

On the development side, we created a flexible, scalable WordPress platform hosted on WPEngine. This allows the Diocese’s communications team to easily update content, publish news, and manage resources without technical barriers. We also implemented modular, block-based page templates so they can continue to grow and adapt the site as their needs evolve.

“Ink & Water has done a stunning job in transforming our diocesan website into a clean, modern, and functional platform that truly reflects who we are. The new design is intuitive, visually engaging, and makes it really easy for visitors to find what they need. We’re thrilled with the result and grateful for their creativity, professionalism, and attention to detail.”

The result is a trusted digital hub that reflects the Diocese’s mission of ‘Growing Younger’ while strengthening connections across Greater Manchester and beyond. It’s more than just a website — it’s a tool for community, faith, and support that can scale with the Diocese into the future.

We are so happy with the final result and we hope that it serves the Diocese of Manchester for many years to come.
